this week's favourite pictures!

As for my own fashion or handicrafts projects there has been nothing new during the last couple of days =( But I discovered, strangely enough, two pictures this week, which had an enormous impact on me! Very impressive pictures, as if I occasionally met two sides of how I see myself!... Okay, this is getting esoteric ;) But once I saw a girl in the streets of Berlin with platinum blonde hair and a chalk white face, with red lip stick just like "krisatomic", and I thought "Oh my, that's what I want, too!", I loved this mixture of innocent Snow White and the baroque kind of gothic style! Someday I will re-blonde my hair and have a kind of look like this:

sewing the skirt!

About two weeks ago I started sewing myself a skirt as I felt I needed something new and happy but didn't want to spend too much money. Well, I admit I actually only changed this skirt but it was a whole lot of work because it was huge and very long before, so it wasn't too easy to make a knee-length skirt out of it. Now I'm stuck and I feel like I'd ruined it, too. I'm afraid I took too much fabric - the fabric itself is gorgeous but it's quite thick and I look like a mushroom when I wear it. *big sigh* I hope to find a solution, cuz it's a cute skirt actually...

the flea market

Yesterday's walk to the flea market was a great success for me! I found a couple of items, that are too enchanting, over all an adorable black wool-vest with flower embroideries (my friend hated it but I think it's gorgeous!). I've been looking for a cardigan like that for quite some time by now, but a vest is just as fine for me. I will probably change the buttons though, I sort of find them too pink ;)

I also bought a lovely off-white dress - very cute and romantic - a horrible scarf and a shirt with rosy prints. I close it with a butterfly brooch because it's got a deep v-neck which I don't like. The green corduroy bag I found is great but I plan to customize it so I'll post that one later... all that stuff only cost me 11 Euros!

These shoes!

Due to being incredibly busy I didn't get to post anything during the last couple of days, unfortunately. There were several jobs I couldn't postpone, but for now I got some free time to enjoy the golden October weather, which is unexpectedly frosty but sunny though. So: yesterday was fleemarket-day, finally again! I went there very early with a friend of mine, wearing my new beloved autumn-style shoes, which I simply love - aren't they the cutest thing to wear in this time of the year?

today's outfit

Spending the weekend at a Bavarian village wedding left a lot of positivity inside of me. Even though it's grey outside and raining, I feel sort of joyful and enjoy the day just as much as any sunny Sunday! Well, and the bride and all the lovely wedding decorations inspired me to wear flowers! That's not too inventive now, but maybe I wouldn't have had the strength to dress up against the weather...

I especially love the new grey tights I bought, which are extraordinarily soft and got these nice folky patterns. They fit perfectly with my favourite oxfords...

gudrun!

Again, and as always, I just totally loooove the new Gudrun Sjödén Collection for fall. I'm not into designers that much, but there are two or three who always manage to have some really nice ideas. Gudrun is definitely one of them. I just adore her folklore-inspired style, the natural materials and the lovely colours and prints! This time, after she was inspired by Frida Kahlo last year, she chose some Italian Renaissance styles and a dottie-line, too... seems like dots are not only floating H&M worldwide. P.S.: Notice the amazing cushions again, her interior accessories are just as beautiful as her clothes!

peace!

Today I discovered this beautiful hippie fashion site soul-flower.com. Inspired by the red-golden glistening in the trees and the late-summer air, I just felt like looking for something intense, with strong colours and a natural feeling. The shop is very hippie-like indeed but I found a couple of items which I would happily combine today =) So, this would be my look-and-feel for Wednesday:
I especially love the skirt and the bag (embroideries again!)... my, I guess I'll really have to find out the shipping costs. The items are not too expensive and it seems to be good quality, so maybe I will seriously think about buying anything listed above....

Booooooots

I have to admit, that I am not very much into 70s music. Not at all, to be precise. Oh my, but how do I love 70s vintage clothing! It's inventive, colourful, mostly comfortable, I just love the naive cuteness of back then. Today I received this gorgeous pair of vintage boots in a very autumn-like wine-red. I bought them on eBay, of course, and they were less then 15 Euros! I love them...

I got two beautiful gobelin bags to combine them with, I just can't decide which one fits better... I'd probably take the black one because it's sort of dangerous to have two shades of red which don't fit perfectly. What do you think?

fake fur

The day welcomed me with sunshine and summer glistening in the trees, it's warm and friendly and nobody would even dare to think of winter. Autumn is is knocking on everyone's door though so I'd been starting to look for suitable clothes a couple of weeks ago. A friend of mine owns this gorgeous coat with fake fur applications, which I always loved! So I went to find myself something similar and got these two beautiful items on eBay. I just can't help falling for embroideries and curduroy has always been my favourite fabric... I'm still looking for something to wear with the vest, it would have to be something simple, something black probably...

embroideries!

...being addicted to Second Hand clothing - I will never be able to resist the countless opportunities of the eBay universe! - I rarely buy new stuff, at least none that's more than 15 Euros. This week I was a lucky girl, strolling through a new Berlin mall, when my boyfriend decided to let me choose an item I'd like to have. I ended up taking two babydoll style tunics, which just looked like only being made for me (somehow I felt bad though as I didn't want to abuse the situation). I discovered them at H+M children's department and couldn't leave without them... beautiful flower prints and embroideries just capture me... I'm wearing them with curduroy volant skirts in black or red. Plus Boots. *g*
