a necessary choice...

And, talking about shoes today: am I right there is no fall collection of Irregular Choice yet?! I can't quite imagine but I didn't find anything on the site. But though I can rarely afford to even buy one single pair, I'm excited to see what autumn will bring for our feet! Here are just 10 reasons to love Irregular Choice and to die of excitement to see the new collection (click to view larger image):

gudrun!

Again, and as always, I just totally loooove the new Gudrun Sjödén Collection for fall. I'm not into designers that much, but there are two or three who always manage to have some really nice ideas. Gudrun is definitely one of them. I just adore her folklore-inspired style, the natural materials and the lovely colours and prints! This time, after she was inspired by Frida Kahlo last year, she chose some Italian Renaissance styles and a dottie-line, too... seems like dots are not only floating H&M worldwide. P.S.: Notice the amazing cushions again, her interior accessories are just as beautiful as her clothes!

ethical footwear

There a a couple of brands, which produce shoes without leather, sweatshop-free and so on. But I wouldn't have expected to find a fashion brand which creates designer shoes on a vegetarian basis! The label Beyond Skin has brought out a lovely new fall collection for this year, these are my favourites:

By the way: look at those gorgeous cushions in the background! Aren't they loveable???

peace!

Today I discovered this beautiful hippie fashion site soul-flower.com. Inspired by the red-golden glistening in the trees and the late-summer air, I just felt like looking for something intense, with strong colours and a natural feeling. The shop is very hippie-like indeed but I found a couple of items which I would happily combine today =) So, this would be my look-and-feel for Wednesday:
I especially love the skirt and the bag (embroideries again!)... my, I guess I'll really have to find out the shipping costs. The items are not too expensive and it seems to be good quality, so maybe I will seriously think about buying anything listed above....

Booooooots

I have to admit, that I am not very much into 70s music. Not at all, to be precise. Oh my, but how do I love 70s vintage clothing! It's inventive, colourful, mostly comfortable, I just love the naive cuteness of back then. Today I received this gorgeous pair of vintage boots in a very autumn-like wine-red. I bought them on eBay, of course, and they were less then 15 Euros! I love them...

I got two beautiful gobelin bags to combine them with, I just can't decide which one fits better... I'd probably take the black one because it's sort of dangerous to have two shades of red which don't fit perfectly. What do you think?

fake fur

The day welcomed me with sunshine and summer glistening in the trees, it's warm and friendly and nobody would even dare to think of winter. Autumn is is knocking on everyone's door though so I'd been starting to look for suitable clothes a couple of weeks ago. A friend of mine owns this gorgeous coat with fake fur applications, which I always loved! So I went to find myself something similar and got these two beautiful items on eBay. I just can't help falling for embroideries and curduroy has always been my favourite fabric... I'm still looking for something to wear with the vest, it would have to be something simple, something black probably...

TODAY'S FAVOURITE PICTURE:

Singer and Songwriter Odessa Chen, who I adore, not only for creating this incredibly unique and ethereal kind of music. Her style is just enchanting to me, an intriguing embrace of a strong attitude and this certain fairytale aura. Kisses for Odessa!

embroideries!

...being addicted to Second Hand clothing - I will never be able to resist the countless opportunities of the eBay universe! - I rarely buy new stuff, at least none that's more than 15 Euros. This week I was a lucky girl, strolling through a new Berlin mall, when my boyfriend decided to let me choose an item I'd like to have. I ended up taking two babydoll style tunics, which just looked like only being made for me (somehow I felt bad though as I didn't want to abuse the situation). I discovered them at H+M children's department and couldn't leave without them... beautiful flower prints and embroideries just capture me... I'm wearing them with curduroy volant skirts in black or red. Plus Boots. *g*

...sitting on a crimson red velvet chair at work sometime this week, I was looking through the cultural calendar of a big daily newspaper. Not knowing I'd be so disappointed by her music later, I discovered the picture of a pink-dressed lady, very curvy, with a huge fringe, who turned out to be a folk singer from Transylvania called Miss Platnum. Well.. She does some sort of crossover-sound, which I don't like at all, but I loved her picture at once, cuz I just love every detail of this particular style, so I decided to capture it in here. Let's be inspired by pink nails and garlic!

Thoughts to myself, more or less, to make a start: I love street styles and creative, extraordinary people and clothing... I love details. Fashion is creativity! I am into anything ancient, old houses, half rotten accessories, vintage style furniture and clothes, folklore... I plan to collect anything that crosses my paths and put it into this blog box of mine! Welcome to my Inspire-me-Diary...
